Pakistani society should prioritize ‘Made in Pakistan’ products over foreign alternatives as a means of promoting domestic manufacturing and reducing the nation’s imports bill. Karachi, August 26: President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi address to the Inaugural Ceremony of Made in Pakistan Movement. Business Leaders and the Youth of Pakistan should take an active role in rectifying societal issues and advocating for local products. He said it is you and us who have failed, and the best export of Pakistan is you. Because the best belongings that Muslims have is ethics and morality so whatever business is done with the Uprightness or the quality of being conscientious is always successful and you will be appreciated by the world. So you are first Muslim then Pakistani start any initiative with honesty which should be the focus of any business. He said our Prophet (PBUH) always emphasized to earn your livelihood through business, the traders and industrialists should find their own way to success and which on the other hand will stabilize the economy of a country. Mr. Rizwan Jaffar Founder & Chairman MIP Group & Made in Pakistan Movement expressed his gratitude to the President of Pakistan for accepting the Invitation and graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his speech he said today we are officially Inaugurating the Made in Pakistan Movement. Promotion of our local products was always in our mind but the work that was supposed to be done in last 75 years was never initiated properly and the awareness that should have been provided to the nation was never given so through this movement awareness will be provided to the public not only in Pakistan but globally to buy, Made in Pakistan products. Mr. Zubair Motiwala CEO TDAP showed his concerns over the shortage of gas, electricity and water which has badly affected the exports and industries of Pakistan. The huge amount of electricity cost has also created a disturbing situation for the local manufacturers and general public. Therefore Govt. help and support is required for the export sector and for better productions and the products that we are importing can also be Made in Pakistan. Mr. Tariq Yousuf President KCCI addressing the audience said that on one hand the economic matters and on the other hand the uncertain political situation and the dollar rate have all caused uncertainty in the affairs of traders and investors. In the Made in Pakistan Inaugural Ceremony, Recognition Awards were given to the following: M.
